58 new COVID-19 cases in Thunder Bay district

THUNDER BAY -- The Thunder Bay District Health Unit announced 58 new cases on Wednesday, no new deaths.

Of the new cases, two cases involved household contact, six involved other close contacts, 10 had no known exposure, and 40 are pending.

Forty-eight of the new cases involve residents of Thunder Bay and surrounding areas, nine involve residents from district communities and one from First Nation community.

The latest numbers also include 131 resolved cases, including one that was in hospital bringing our total active cases to 276.

In addition, through data quality checks, one case reported previously by TBDHU was removed from the TBDHU case count. This will be reflected in the overall case count.
