WAWA — Algoma Public Health focused on hockey players, their fans, and their pregame rituals. These athletes and their fans were reminded of the importance of still following some simple pregame rituals of their own to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
APHU asks that everyone do their part to make sure that they limit the spread of COVID-19, if they feel ill. Staying home if they have any COVID-19 symptoms and checking their symptoms by accessing this link: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment/ is an important tool available.
According to APHU, “simple but effective pregame rituals” such as: getting vaccinated and receiving a booster dose when eligible, wearing a mask in indoor settings, and staying home until you are symptom free, can as they put it, “make a difference.”
With many COVID-19 restrictions no longer in place across the province, and more sporting activities stating up again, APHU encourages all hockey players and fans to make simple safeguards part of their own pregame ritual.
