APS launch new website, features online reporting and application process

THUNDER BAY — A simpler and more mobile-friendly design layout has been launched for the Anishinabek Police Services (APS) website.

APS utilized the services of a woman-owned, Indigenous creative agency in Sudbury to create their new site.

The website was designed to be more user-friendly and cohesive for people looking to file certain reports and locate information.

With improved accessibility, the new APS website offers online crime reporting as well as a quick escape feature for those who might be dealing with sensitive topics such as intimate partner violence.

The site also offers a full online process for those looking to apply to work at APS.

In a press release, APS states the site will "continue to evolve in the coming months,"

APS is a self-administered Indigenous police service. It serves 16 First Nations across an area spanning from Fort William First Nation, along the North Shore and into southern Ontario.
