WAWA -- Building Safely Month continues through the third week of May. The theme for week three of this initiative is to consider a career in the building industry.
Residents of Wawa were given information about how careers in the building industry can encourage individuals to “build where they live and at the same time become guardians of Ontario communities.”
According to the City of Wawa Facebook post, builders, “can contribute to the safety of their communities in many ways.”
Building officials can:
- Help create more affordable housing
- Make sure Ontario buildings are sustainable and accessible
- Keep communities safe by enforcing the Ontario Building Code
