HURKETT, Ont. -- A 31-year-old person has died in a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a transport on Highway 11/17 near Hurkett, Ont.
Ontario Provincial Police say the incident took place just after 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and led to the closure of the highway in both directions. Police, in a release, said the closure is expected to last through most of the night.
The victim has not been identified by name or gender, and police have not said whether or not charges will be laid.
The investigation continues and police said there is no detour available at this location.
