NIPIGON—The Grade 6 and 7 class of George O’Neill Public School has been working hard at planning a Winter Olympics Day.
Winter Olympics Day was canceled Feb. 18 due to weather, but has been rescheduled for Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, and promises to have amazing activities for all students at the school from K-8. They added that Cohorts will be maintained and events will be held outdoors. Students were also reminded that all recommendations of the PHU will be followed.
The day known as the Winter Games 2022, will reflect the Beijing Winter Olympics as its theme, starting with a Torch Run.
Other activities will include:
- Treasure Hunt and Scavenger Hunt
- Snow Sculpting
- Obstacle Courses
- Sliding
- Sled Races and more…
Throughout the day, students will be treated to hot chocolate, and a hot dog.
Their day sounds like it will not only be fun-filled but also challenging.
