KAP KIDS program promotes Breanna Plourde Memorial fund

KAPUSKASING--The Township of Kapuskasing recreation department launched this year’s KAP KIDS summer program.

The program is a summer initiative, that runs during the months of July, and August, is organized by the township as a means of offering fun and exciting activities throughout the summer for the youth in their community.

Each of those months the program features sporting events in which the youth can participate. These sports programs run during the months of July and August and are scheduled to run 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., for ages six to eight; and 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. for ages nine to twelve.

For the months of July, and August, the KAP KIDS program will offer crafts and games from 1 p.m-3:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday; at select venues for each day.

Their KAP KIDS program is also proud to share that each week, the children enrolled in KAP KIDS 2022, summer program will be eligible to win a Breanna Plourde memorial fund t-shirt.

The township recreation department continues to remember the contributions that Breanna Plourde has made. They also shared that, “Breanna was part of the committee that brought the Colour Run to Kapuskasing in 2016.”

“We are remembering Breanna Plourde who gave so much to our community and was an enthusiastic advocate for youth and healthy living in Kapuskasing,” added the township of Kapuskasing recreation committee.
