WAWA—The Lady Dunn Health Centre Foundation (LDHC) hosted their Nine & Dine Charity Gold tournament recently, and were pleased to announce that the fundraiser was a great success.
The LDHC quickly filled up spots with interested teams who wanted to participate in the Tournament from the get-go.
The organization offered a BBQ throughout the course of the day. In addition, it featured a “Chipping Contest” which ran before and after the tournament started with participants able to win a $100 cash prize. The afternoon also featured a buffet dinner in the clubhouse.
Numerous community sponsors and community partners helped with this fundraiser including groups such as: Wawa Pharmacy, Northern Credit Union, Fenlon’s Pharmacy, and WESDOME.
The LDHC Foundation raised a total of $5,150 that will go towards the purchase of capital equipment supporting the hospital’s MediTech ONE Expansion Project.
The Foundation is committed to raising $240,000 over the next 2 years to support the purchase of capital equipment associated with the project. With the support of the community, LDHC foundation has to date already raised $105,000.
They also were pleased to share that in addition to raising these funds for this project the Foundation is also committed to supporting Long Term Care Palliative and Cancer-Care.
