TERRACE BAY -- Terrace Bay’s Lake Superior High School Student Council has launched their “Christmas Hamper Campaign” for this year.
The student body is being asked to bring in non-perishable items and toys for their “House challenge”. Students are divided up into three houses: House Red, House Green and House Blue.
Students attending the high school are placed into one of these three houses, and throughout the school year challenges are organized to build solidarity within the student body.
At the end of the school year the one house is chosen as winner based on the points earned for participating in each challenge.
Student Council Teacher Advisor, Laura Mason, shared that as part of these challenges, the “Christmas Hamper Campaign” has been launched with the help of their Student Council.
Students are encouraged to bring in non-perishable items and toys for their community organization North Shore Harvest Cupboard, who will collect the hamper on Dec. 16, 2021.
This challenge is not only an incentive to build solidarity within the school community, but also to help those in need through the North Shore Harvest Cupboard.
