SUPERIOR NORTH — Provincial police saw almost no change in the number of calls during last week over the week before.
OPP responded to 463 incidents in the Nipigon, Greenstone and Marathon areas between April 7 and 13, 2025. This is just over a six per cent increase in calls for service from the week before.
Across the Superior North region, OPP were busiest with property checks, issuing eTickets, and responding to traffic complaints.
Provincial Police laid 110 criminal charges, with a majority of charges being for violations under the Highway Traffic Act.
The OPP is reminding the public about its online reporting system, which can be used as an alternative to having an officer attend a scene for a minor incident.
Citizen Self Reporting (CSR) was rolled out across the province in 2014 to report certain minor incidents and crimes.
