Limited Township of Manitouwadge phone and internet services available this week

MANITOUWADGE -- Manitouwadge’s Township offices are experiencing some localized internet difficulties, and as a result, telephone calls are limited to urgent and emergency phone calls only, such as the fire and ambulance services 911 phone number or the municipal works department, airport services, etc. Emails can still be sent and received by all staff, but can only be accessed through a separate internet connection; there may be a delay in responses as a result.

This situation is a localized computer hardware event only, and does not involve the town’s internet provider.

The township office is still open during regular hours, but as their payment system relies on internet access, in-person payments can only be made with cash, cheques or money orders. Electronic payments can still be made through your bank or financial institute. The office hours for the public to conduct business at the Township office are Monday to Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m.

This internet situation is expected to continue until the weekend, and they will keep the public updated via the Township of Manitouwadge website. They apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
