TORONTO—Operation Smile Canada wants all Canadians to join their “Smile Movement”. Each year they launch their Longest Day of Smiles fundraising event. This year they have earmarked June 19, 2022 as the Longest Day of Smiles Day.

Operation Smile Canada has sent out a challenge to all Canadians, organizations and businesses to help them raise funds for the care and support that so many children born with cleft conditions need. According to this organization, their goal is to raise $700,000. To date they have raised $694,899.68.

According to their website announcement, Operation Smile Canada, wants Canadians to help “Raise 3,000 new smiles by June 19, 2022. It feels great to smile and feels even better to make someone smile. That’s what the SMILE movement is all about. Using their passion and creativity, Canadians are raising awareness and funds for new smiles and complete care for children born with cleft conditions in low- and middle- income countries.”

Those wishing to make a donation can, fund raise individually or with a team. Other ideas that Operation Smile Canada suggest includes, “Create a Longest Day of SMILES online fundraising page, solicit family and friends, host events, commit to a fitness goal, gather your community and raise funds to help give a child living with a cleft condition a new smile.”

With June 19, 2022 fast approaching Operation Smile Canada shared that, “From Mother’s Day to Father’s Day, all gifts made online will be matched up to $50,000 thanks to two generation partners. So make your gift now and make someone smile.”
