A man was arrested Sunday night after allegedly swinging a hammer at another person in a city parking lot.
The altercation occurred at around 7:30 p.m. on June 30 in the 900 block of Great Northern Road.
Sault Police say a person punched the victim in the face and swung a hammer at them.
The man was charged with assault and assault with a weapon.
He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled back in court in September.
None of the allegations have been tested in court and he is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
