MARATHON -- With the Ontario government set to end further COVID-19 restrictions March 1, capacity limits will make participating in indoor physical activity a bit easier.
On Feb. 24, 2022, Marathon’s Community Centre, recreation programming, updated its calendar of events running from Feb. 26, 2022 to March 3, 2022.
Weekend events offered family swim times, public swim times and public skate times. Beginning Feb. 28, from 10:35 a.m. – 11:55 a.m., residents can enjoy free public skating.
The following calendar represents the remaining free public skating times offered Mondays and Wednesdays until March 23 and all the other great activities available.
Public skate at the Marathon Arena:
Saturday, March 5, 2022, 2:05 p.m.- 3:55 p.m.; Sunday, March 6, 2:05 p.m. – 3:55 p.m.;
Saturday, March 12, 2022 and Sunday, March 13, 2:05 p.m. – 3:55 p.m.
Free public skating at 16 Peninsula Street:
Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, 10:35 a.m. - 11:55 a.m.; Wednesday, March 2, 10:35 a.m. - 11:55 a.m.;
Monday, March 7, 2022, 10:35 a.m. – 11:55 a.m.; Wednesday, March 9, 10:35 a.m. – 11:55 a.m.;
