Marathon ski club and snowshoe club 37 years of operation

MARATHON—  Established in 1985, the Marathon Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe Club is an independent, non-profit, volunteer run organization nestled in Northern Ontario and the Boreal forest.

The MCCSSC boasts 15 kilometres of groomed ski trails that the public can skate and classic ski on. This includes five kilometres of lit trails. The Club also features five kilometres of snowshoe trails.

Their volunteer groomers, Lloyd, Kyle, Paul, Tim and George, put in many hours to help get the ski trails ready for use and maintaining the trails throughout the winter months.

Their efforts continue to make the MCCSSC trails world-class trails with varying levels of difficulty. Snowshoe members are invited and welcomed to use the lit trails at night by staying on the far right of the groomed trails and snowshoeing in single file.

This year, the MCCSSC is celebrating its 37th year of operation and continues to offer seasonal ski and snowshoeing memberships that can be purchased online through their website at  www.marathonskiclub.ca!
