KAPUSKASING—The Township of Kapuskasing recreation department launched this year’s KAP KIDS summer program.
This program is a summer initiative organized by the township as a means of offering fun and exciting activities throughout the summer for the youth in their community.
The KAP KIDS parks program runs during the months of July, and August. Each month will feature sporting events in which the youth can participate.
For the months of July, and August, the KAP KIDS program will offer crafts and games from 1 p.m-3:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday; at select venues for each day.
The township has also organized sports programs to run during the months of July and August and are scheduled to run 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., for ages six to eight; and 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. for ages nine to twelve.
Parents and guardians can register their child to participate in basketball, tennis and swimming, by calling: Donat Brousseau Pool at 705-337-4266 to create your account and register online.
The township wants interested parents and guardians to know that there is still time to register their child for the KAP KIDS morning sports summer program. No registration is required for free park programs; and that there is still room in their sports groups.
