Multi-day episode of cold wind chills continues in the north

SUPERIOR NORTH -- Environment Canada warns wind chills are expected to remain colder than -40C throughout the day.

The government weather agency states the minimum temperatures near -37C with wind chills between -45C and -50C is expected on Friday morning.

Wind chills are expected to remain colder than -40C throughout the day on Friday in Peawanuck, Fort Severn and Webequie.

These extremely cold wind chills are expected to continue into early next week during the nights and mornings with some relief from the extreme cold is expected during the afternoons.
