MARATHON—With the first official day of summer just around the corner, residents of Marathon are reminded of two important summer bylaws.

The focus of these is lawn watering and lawn grass cutting.

According to Bylaw 1734, which outlines watering guidelines, residents are reminded that watering of yards and lawns for odd numbered properties, should occur on odd days of the month; and even days on even numbered properties.

In addition, residents were reminded to abide by the city bylaw in reference to grass, which states that, "All lawns shall be kept trimmed neatly and shall not exceed 20 centimetres, eight inches.”

Residents were encouraged to abide by these watering and grass upkeep bylaws in order to keep their community looking beautiful.
