NIPIGON— Day use park passes are a common commodity when heading out to a provincial park for the day. Nipigon Public Library supports this initiative by helping to make accessing day park passes convenient and easy.
Ontario Park Day-Use Vehicle permits for the 2022 are now available to borrow from Nipigon Public Library. This is part of a global program known as “Healthy Parks - Healthy People.”
The program promotes active living and encourages everyone to get out to enjoy the beautiful green spaces that exist across the region.
According to ontarioparks.com, “Green space can be both preventative and restorative for mood disorders and as humans we need exposure to green space for optimal cognitive function.”
Nipigon Public Library offers pick up times for the day park passes as follows:
- Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. and again from 6 to 8 p.m.
- Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.
- Friday 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 to 2 p.m.
Visit Ontario Parks for more information and to borrow a day use park pass.
