Porcupine Health Unit reminds Hornepayne residents of the harmful affects of smoking and vaping

HORNEPAYNE—Residents of Hornepayne learned recently of some of the harmful affects of smoking and vaping.

Porcupine Health Unit featured information from the Smoke Free Ontario Act, (SFOS) on their Facebook site. In it they spoke about the fact that recent changes to the provincial SFOS requires that, smoking and vaping anywhere on the grounds of any community recreational facility or in public spaces within 20 metres of the perimeter of the grounds, is prohibited.

Should residents require any further information about this they can follow the link provided: http://www.porcupinehu.on.ca/.../smoking/smoke-free-ontario/

The SFOA regulates the smoking and vaping of tobacco, electronic cigarettes and cannabis to protect the people of Ontario, especially youth, from the harms of tobacco, the potential harms of vapour products, and the harms of second-hand cannabis smoke.
