HORNEPAYNE — Students and families across the province are excited about being off school and enjoying their March Break. Fewer COVID-19 restrictions exit this year, and the possibility of travel is much higher.

Hornepayne’s Porcupine Heath Unit is wishing all staff, students and families a well-deserved March break, as they hope that everyone will have a relaxing and safe time.

PHU offered some useful suggestions to help you stay safe and active during this break from classes. If you are looking for a way to indeed stay active, they point you to a great guide.

Check out the ParticipACTION's Family Better Guide for ideas on how to stay physically active; “Family Better | ParticipACTION”.

The Guide reminds families of the importance of making being active as a family a priority. It also mentions that recent studies show that, “A parent/guardian’s physical activity behaviour is directly related to that of their children. How we move as a family directly influences our kids”.

The health unit also reminds everyone to remember, “to wear a mask, maintain physical distancing and keep up hand hygiene and to stay home if you are sick. COVID-19 doesn’t take breaks.”
