Preparations underway for door-to-door safety campaign in Marathon

MARATHON -- Preparations are underway for the Marathon Fire Department's door-to-door campaign.

Fire officials will be going door to door starting April 5 to offer inspections, answer any questions families may have and hand out information packs and bags for children.

The fire department can help answer any questions regarding smoke, and carbon monoxide alarms, home escape plans and home heating.

If you don't have a working smoke or CO alarm, the fire department will give you one for free.

This campaign is to help to keep friends and neighbours informed about home fire safety.
