TERRACE BAY--The Superior Greenstone District School Board, (SGDSB) and Superior North Catholic District School Board, (SNCDSB) and are having a "Professional Activity Day" today. Director of Education Nicole Morden-Cormier says today is a key day for teachers.

Today is a school-based day which means that all of our staff will be in our individual schools. They will be working with their principals to really look at the status of where are, our students with their individual needs and what do we have to do differently to meet those needs. So, it is an extremely important day today,” stated the Director. “Particularly because students are coming back from a couple years of COVID-19 interruptions, so we are looking closely on how we can impact positively even more positively than what we already do, on individual students,” added Morden-Cormier.

There is also no school today for students with the Superior North Catholic District School Board and the Algoma District School Board as they are also having Professional Activity Days. Regular classes for all three boards resume tomorrow morning.

SNCDSB shared that their staff in neighbouring communities will, “join together to celebrate the Eucharist and participate in professional development facilitated by the school faith teams.”
