HORNEPAYNE—The Township of Hornepayne offered their gratitude to the Porcupine Health Unit, (PHU) Hornepayne office, for lending them stencils to help create games at their local bike park.

The sidewalk stencils help create games, this past week-end, for children to participate in, and in spite of the rain, the stencils looked great and were ready for “kid use”.

According to their own social media page, the PHU focuses on providing programs and information to help encourage physical activity and healthy living.

PHU lends out stencils to their local community that are often used on playgrounds and can easily be painted on their sidewalks, or playgrounds. The stencils come with instructions and can easily be painted on clean surfaces.

Given the effort put into these stencils by the Township of Hornepayne, it was clear in their recent social media post, that they are not only colourful, but will offer youth visiting their local bike park something else to help them stay active.
