MANITOUWADGE – Health officials warning the public of an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the Manitouwadge community.
Sante Manitouwadge Health, on Friday, issued a release stating with the resting criteria changes recently announced the number of cases reported to the public will be significantly underestimated because of the changes it has become difficult to manage and report a true representation of cases in the community.
In order to get a better idea of potential numbers in the community, health officials are urging any community member that has tested positive on a home test to call 807-826-3251 to let them know.
SMH is working to keep in line with ministry guidelines with COVID-19 testing initiatives.
If you are in the same household as someone who is a confirmed positive person, you do not require testing. Isolate as per Public Health Guidelines.
