Schreiber Arena to open next week

SCHREIBER—Good news for those looking forward to ice skating, as the Schreiber Arena will open on Monday, Oct. 24.

Residents old and young wishing to use the arena this year are reminded to get their skating pass at the Municipal Complex. Parents and guardians are also reminded that children five and under do not require a pass.

The 2022-2023 ice skating season will run from Oct. 24, 2022 until April 2, 2023.

The Schreiber Arena is home to the Schreiber Filane’s JR. B Hockey team, the Schreiber North Stars & Filane’s Falcons Minor hockey teams, as well as Schreiber Terrace Bay Figure Skating Club, Ladies Shinny, the Fallen Stars old-timers league and the No Body Contact League.

The arena features functions including: practices, tournaments, and shows run throughout the ice season, as well as public skating, special events and ice rentals.
