SCHREIBER — Schreiber residents are being asked to avoid the area of the south end of Winnipeg Street as fire crews are currently on the scene.
Schreiber Fire Department and Terrace Bay Fire/Emergency Services are currently on the scene of a small bush fire and residents are asked to steer clear and to not drive over the hose lines that are lying across the road.
Terrace Bay fire has confirmed that the fire is under control.
Schreiber, along with the rest of the region, is still under a fire restriction and municipal burn permits are still suspended.
Residents are reminded to dial 911 in the case of a fire and are advised to also report forest fires to the province by dialing 310-FIRE(3473).
