Service Canada Outreach centre coming to Terrace Bay

TERRACE BAY—For residents of Terrace Bay in need of services provided by Service Canada, learning that Service Canada Outreach is coming to their community is good news.

Service Canada Outreach will be set up at the Terrace Bay Community Centre, Hwy. 17 and Selkirk Avenue, on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and on Wednesday, June 22, from 8:30 a.m. until noon.

Those needing their services will be able to visit-in person at the Terrace Bay location. You can also visit them in-person at the near Marathon Service Centre, on 52 Peninsula Road.

Service Canada Outreach offers services in programs such as:

  • Employment Insurance
  • Canada Pension, Old Age Security, Guaranteed Income
  • Supplement benefits
  • Social Insurance Numbers and
  • Veterans Affairs Canada Services

As a result of restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic Service Canada Outreach centres have had to close, no longer able to provide in-person service. News that it will be coming to the City of Terrace Bay will be a welcomed bit of information for the households and individuals who would normally have to access these programs online.
