NIPIGON -- Nipigon’s Parade of Lights got a helping hand from Superior North Catholic District School Board.
Faculty members and students from Christina Murphy’s Grade 8 class at St. Edward Catholic School helped decorate the float.
This effort was definitely a “team” effort as individuals like: Ben Jewiss, Catholic and Special Projects Lead; B.J. Roman-Mercier, Principal; St. Edward Catholic School staff and students; Sarah Clowes, SNCDSB Technology Enabled Learning Teacher; Colleen Sheriff, Indigenous Education Lead; Maria Vasanelli, Director of Education and a mysterious red-nosed reindeer-Trustee Wawia who came out to represent their schools and board with the joy of the season.
The board expressed both their pride and thanks for the hard work that was demonstrated by all involved to make this a community celebrated event.
