St. Hillary Catholic Elementary school students learn about snowshoeing

RED-ROCK — Students from St. Hillary Catholic Elementary School learned about snowshoes and how they were used in the past late last week.

Thanks to Jenna and staff from Dilico, who organized a fun morning of outdoor activity for the students on Friday, they were able to learn about the history of snowshoes.

Students not only learned about the history behind snowshoes, but also what they were used for before finally given the opportunity to go out and participate in some fun snowshoe races.

Following the time spent outdoors enjoying the challenge of these snowshoe races, the group returned indoors to be treated to bannock and hot chocolate.

In spite of the weather being windy and cold that morning, the students managed to have a great time.
