TERRACE BAY—Superior North Catholic District School Board welcomes their students back from the March Break.
As part of their initiative to support and encourage the importance of regular school attendance their schools are offering an exciting draw for the month of March and April. Regular school attendance directly affects student success. Being in the classroom to engage and learn with peers and under the guidance of the teacher is part of inter-active learning and applying what is learned. When students are absent from school, they are missing these opportunities.
Parents and guardians are being made aware that beginning March 21 through to April 29 each time their child attends school, they will receive an entry into a draw for an Oculus Quest 2. The draw is scheduled to place May 2022.
Should parents have any questions or need any further information, they can contact SNCDSB Attendance Counsellor, Danielle Bond at, dbond@sncdsb.on.ca or call her at (807)-826-1306.
SNCDSB wants their school community to know that “attendance matters” and that this incentive is another way to celebrate school attendance. Coming to school is important to learning, engaging with others, and enjoying the prospect of leaving the classroom each day with positive experiences.
