Superior North Catholic District School Board rescind COVID-19 vaccination procedures

TERRACE BAY—Superior North Catholic District School Board of Trustees voted to rescind the COVID-19 Vaccination Procedures for Employees, Trustees, and other individuals, lifting the mandatory requirements for staff to be vaccinated, effective immediately.

This decision aligns with the provincial direction on health and safety measures. The Board of Trustees informed its school community that to date, more than 98 per cent of Superior North Catholic District School Board staff are fully vaccinated, and students continue to be vaccinated at a high rate.

SNCDSB still believes that getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is the most important step to ensuring the health and safety of all community members. Furthermore, they continue to strongly recommend the wearing of masks while in their schools to protect each other from infections.

The Board will continue to monitor the local and provincial COVID situation and will make changes as required to do so.
