TERRACE BAY—The COVID-19 outbreak at the McCausland Hospital including Wilkes Terrace Long Term Care Home has officially been declared over by the Thunder Bat District Health unit as of Aug. 4, 2022.
The North Shore Family Health Team and the North of Superior Healthcare Group were both pleased to make this announcement.
Both organizations expressed their gratitude to the patients of The McCausland Hospital and the residents of Wilkes Terrace Long Term Care Home for their patients, support, trust and patience during the time that the outbreak with 11 confirmed cases.
The North Shore Family Health Team also thanked the NOSH staff who, according to their notice, “Worked tirelessly to manage the outbreak and keep the spirits up for those in isolation.”
The community was also acknowledged for their well-wishes and messages of support over the past weeks. Their thoughtful efforts helped patients and residents stay positive.
In addition, the notice informed everyone that visitation has resumed.
