TBDHU offering vaccine clinics for children under five for region

MARATHON—The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is holding vaccine clinics for children under five years of age for the region including: Marathon, Greenstone, and Longlac.

Parents, guardians and caregivers are asked to contact the health care provider in your community to access the vaccine for children six months to under five years of age. In addition, the TBDHU states that for those living in First Nation communities, to please contact your local Health Services.

If you cannot access the vaccine through your local healthcare provider, you are asked to call your local public health office.

Region dates and times during which the vaccine clinic is available is as follows:

Marathon Family Health Team will host the clinic on the following dates and times:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Sept. 8, 2:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.

Greenstone Family Health Team will host the clinic on Wednesday, Sept. 14, *Contact your local healthcare provider to confirm dates and book appointments.

NorWest Community Health Centres Longlac will host the clinic on Wednesday, Sept. 21, *Book an appointment by calling the NWCHC at 807-876-2271.
