Terrace Bay residents asked to stay safe, stay clear

TERRACE BAY—Concerns with rising water levels on local rivers and lakes has been of increasing concern for many communities in the region.

The Municipality of Terrace Bay put residents on notice Thursday advising them that due to the recent snow melt and weather that they have been experiencing, higher than normal inflows to Hays Lake are occurring.

In order to keep the elevation under control, the Municipality is initiating an increase in flow at the Hays Lake Dam from 0 centimetres to 57 centimetres. This began on April 28, 2022.

They ask all residents to stay safe, stay clear.
