TERRACE BAY—Terrace Bay residents were asked to think about community athletes, coaches and individuals, who should be recognized for their contributions to sports. Over the years the Municipality of Terrace Bay has honoured athletes, and team builders, highlighting them on their Community Centre Sports Hall of Fame.
This year will be no different, as the city wants residents to bring forth the names of individuals who they believe are deserving of this honour.
The world of sports has produced community leaders, mentors and gifted athletes, and Terrace Bay’s Sports Hall of Fame has been recognizing outstanding achievements and contributions in sports for Terrace Bay residents.
The Terrace Bay Sports Wall of Fame’s goal is to provide a permanent and public display of sport achievements by athletes, teams, and builders promoting Terrace Bay’s sporting history. It is their way of “Recognizing Excellence in Sports”. There are three categories: Athlete, Team and Builder. Inductees are recognized by a plaque which contains a picture of the individual, team or builder along with a condensed biography.
