OTTAWA -- The Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference has come to an end for this year.
Wednesday marked the final AMO conference for Terrace Bay’s Mayor Jody Davis, who is not seeking re-election in October.
Davis says there are a few aspects he will miss about these types of conferences.
“I’m going to miss the friends, the associates, you know, you develop relationships over the last 16 years not only from municipal things, but also from the government’s people,” Davis said in an interview with CFNO.
“It’s been a wonderful learning experience of how government works and all the partnerships that are required in the government, and just the friendships overall.
The deadline to register for October's municipal election is Aug. 19 at 2 p.m.
