WAWA—The Algoma Public Health Unit, (APHU) is now booking flu clinics into mid-November at some of their local clinics. They recently indicated that appointments are still available across the district.
APHU reminds everyone that the best defense against the flu begins with getting a flu shot. In the Algoma district, those six years and older can get a flu shot at participating pharmacies, and primary care providers.
Appointments are not available for those wishing to get the flu shot in the coming weeks.
For those in the Wawa district appointments are available at the Michipicoten Memorial Community Centre on the following dates:
- Thursday, Oct. 20 from 9:45 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 2:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 9:45 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
- Thursday, Oct. 27 from 9:45 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
