NIPIGON—The township of Nipigon is looking for outstanding senior residents. They have extended the deadline for citizen of the year nominations to Nov. 4, 2022.
In their original call for nominations for this recognition, the township informed residents that, “This award is given by the Township of Nipigon to recognize an outstanding senior who, after age 65, enriches the social, cultural, or civic life of the community.”
In addition, the township stated that nominees can come from fields such as the arts, literature, community service, volunteering, education, environment, fitness and humanitarian activities.
Residents who feel that they know of a senior from their community who deserves this award are asked to contact their Municipal office.
