SCHREIBER -- City officials are reminding residents not to dump snow on municipal property as it could lead to a fine.
The Township of Schreiber on Friday had an important and repeated reminder for all residents and contractors regarding snow removal.
It is important to remember that under no circumstances should snow or ice be dumped onto municipal property, this includes sidewalks.
In accordance with the Township By-Law 49-2020, Section 8: Unless otherwise authorized, no person shall place or store any object or accumulation of material, including snow or ice, upon a roadway.
City officials want to remind residents that violators may face a minimum fine of $100.00.
