MARATHON -- Two people were taken to hospital on Saturday following a single-vehicle collision on Highway 17.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, officers responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Saturday around 5:44 p.m. on Highway 17, Township of Coldwell.
Police say a westbound vehicle left the roadway and collided with a rock cut on the north side of the highway.
A 23-year-old male driver from Montreal, QC, and a 23-year-old male passenger from Peterborough, Ont., were transported from the scene by EMS for injuries sustained in the collision.
Marathon officers, with the assistance of Technical Collision Investigation unit members, continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
