NIPIGON, ON — Highway 11 has been reopened after repairs at the site of a washout south of Orient Bay.
A sinkhole developed there on Tuesday afternoon, forcing the closure of both lanes of the highway between Nipigon and Beardmore.
Elsewhere, one lane of Highway 599 to Pickle Lake has been opened to traffic.
The road was closed on Saturday north of the junction with Highway 516, after an overflowing creek destroyed a culvert.
