Wanted person arrested after family dispute in Elliot Lake

Ontario Provincial Police say a family dispute in Elliot Lake led to the arrest of a wanted person.

Officers were called to a Bouck Road residence early Saturday.

“Upon arrival it was learned that the person causing the disturbance had numerous warrants out for their arrest,” OPP said in a news release.

A 33-year-old has been charged with:

  • Break, enter a place - with intent to commit an indictable offence
  • Break, enter a place - commit indictable offence (two counts)
  • Mischief under $5000 - destroys or damages property (two counts)
  • Failure to attend court (two counts)
  • Failure to comply with Release Order (two counts)

None of the allegations have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
