WAWA — Algoma Health Unit recently issued a flood watch for most of the Algoma district.

Due to what is being described as "an intense-low pressure system that is set to move into the province via the northeast corridor, starting Wednesday, and lasting until early Friday", the Health Unit is asking residents to prepare for a flood and to learn more about how to prepare.

It informed residents that often times, “In the spring, the amount of precipitation and the rate of snow melt both have a significant potential on flooding.” To learn more about how you can prepare for a flood, before, during and after, the Health Unit has provided Wawa residents a link. https://bit.ly/AlgomaFloods
