Winter weather advisory issued for Wawa, White River areas

Environment Canada is warning of reduced visibility in eastern portion of the region.

A winter weather travel advisory was issued Tuesday for the Wawa, White River, and Pukaskwa Park areas with snow expected to fall in the morning and into the afternoon.

Environment Canada is forecasting up to 10 centimetres of snow, with as much as two to three centimetres falling per hour.

As of mid-morning, Highway 17 was closed between Wawa and Heyden, just north of Sault Ste. Marie.
