Winter weather travel advisory in effect for Wawa - Pukaskwa Park, White River - Dubreuilville areas

SUPERIOR NORTH -- Environment Canada has issued a weather statement advising that a winter storm is moving into the region that could bring heavy snowfall.

The weather agency says total snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 centimetres could be expected in Wawa - Pukaskwa Park and White River - Dubreuilville areas on Monday.

Snow at times will be heavy until Monday afternoon.

A low pressure system will track east across the Great Lakes Monday bringing snow. Snow is expected to gradually taper to flurries by Monday evening.

Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
