THUNDER BAY - A 38-year-old Thunder Bay woman has died following a collision with a commercial vehicle near Shabaqua on Tuesday.
The collision occurred between an eastbound motor vehicle and a westbound passenger car at approximately 1:10 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 17 near Ivar Road West. The driver of the commercial vehicle, a 64-year-old male from Waldhof, near Vermillion Bay, was left with no injuries.
The driver of the passenger car was declared deceased at the scene.
Officers from the OPP's Thunder Bay Detachment, the Shebandowan Volunteer Fire Department, and Superior North EMS responded to the collision. The investigation is still ongoing.
