As part of Council’s commitment to effective and efficient community transportation, and following 2025 Budget approval, Collingwood Transit has introduced an enhancement to our service delivery offering transit daily, year-round, except on December 25th only. This is in addition to the extended hours of operation, which commenced earlier this year (February 3, 2025), from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
This enhancement will continue to support residents who rely on transit daily, including essential workers, seniors, and those without alternative transportation, as part of Equity and Inclusion initiatives.
This enables access to local businesses, events, and services supporting community building and interaction. This enhancement coincides with regional and neighbouring municipal transportation schedules, providing seamless access to transit. We are excited to see an increase in ridership and public confidence by providing reliable service with these enhancements.
