Even with the Bank of Canada holding interest rates steady, buyer demand continues to surge, and the market is responding. We’re seeing increased showing activity, strong buyer interest, and many homes getting snapped up quickly.
According to data from the RE/MAX Escarpment & RE/MAX Niagara Appointment Centre, it’s taken an average of just 9.8 showings over the past 30 days to get a property sold, a clear sign that buyers are serious and actively engaged.

A drop in both new listings and sales caused inventory to dip just below 4 months. The sales-to-new-listings ratio has climbed above 50%, signaling a balanced market leaning toward seller-friendly conditions.

New listings are down, while sales have held steady. With 5.5 months of inventory and a sales-to-new-listings ratio of 39.4%, Hamilton remains in buyer’s market territory, though it's edging toward balance.
Oakville:
New listings have decreased, sales remain steady, but inventory sits high at 6.3 months. Oakville is still firmly in a buyer’s market, offering good opportunities for those looking to purchase.
