The Elden of Bradford is seeking an experienced cook to join our Culinary team.
Reporting to the Manager of Culinary Experience, the cook is responsible for preparing various meals for residents according to safe food handling procedures, provincial regulations, and provided recipes. The cook will complete all necessary documentation (food and refrigeration temperatures, dishwashing machine temperatures, menu changes, and other as necessary), and complete other duties as assigned.
Must be comfortable working independently, standing for long periods, and handling heavy and/or hot items.
Food Handler certificate and reliable transportation are mandatory. Experience working in the retirement industry and preparing texture modified diets is considered an asset.
